    We preach Christ crucified. You won’t hear what you need to do in order to be a better person. You’ll hear about Christ who died and lives to make you a righteous child of God.

  • Liturgical

    We don’t make things up or follow any fads. We reverently and humbly worship with the Church of every time and place using the liturgy of Word and Sacrament that’s been handed down to us.

  • Sacramental

    God’s salvation, the forgiveness of our sins, comes from outside of us (extra nos). We receive that grace in Baptism, the Lord’s Supper, and Absolution. We don’t downplay these gifts but we magnify them as gracious works of God.

  • Actively Faithful

    At Trinity, we’re always working. God has called us to many and various vocations to love our neighbors. You’ll find a family here that loves, supports, encourages, and cares for one another.

Welcome to Trinity Lutheran Church in El Paso, IL. We are a congregation of the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod. We are a congregation faithful to Jesus Christ, who is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. We are a congregation who welcomes all sinners like us to receive the grace and mercy of Jesus Christ in His Word and Sacraments. We are a congregation living in the worldview that God made all things and all people, that Jesus Christ died for all sinners, that the Holy Spirit gives us faith through the Word of God, and that we are called to living faith in God and loving service to our neighbor in all our vocations.
